I lost my muse for a really long time, and until I finished my own story, I abstained from reading other fan fic. I had just enough left to complete this chapter in time for Christmas. Fireflyfans.net was attacked today. It looks like years worth of excellent fan fiction has been horribly and perhaps irreparably lost.

Every entry that I have seen so far has been cut off at approximately it's halfway point. My stuff, Jan0904's Hotpoint, Tamsibling... The list goes on. Some of those stories are at Fanfiction.net as well but some are exclusive to Fireflyfans.net and the authors are no longer active in the community.

If the data cannot be recovered, it will be a daunting task for the authors (those who are willing to do so) to re-upload their work.

I, myself am looking at well over 300,000 words worth of material.

If the hacker can be tracked, I suggest we Browncoats find this purple belly. And if at least metaphorically, show them the following assembly instructions: Tree, rope, hacker... some assembly required.

So I thought it was about time I paid something back to the community...

I had some free time this evening, so I threw together this ZxY theme :) I think that now, with the chapters being from Yuuki and Kamane's point of view, this pairing is very neglected! If you love them like I do, then this is the perfect theme for you :)
I used scans from Sagakure that are floating around the net; all credit goes to her. If for any reason this is not acceptable, tell me, and I will take the theme down. Feel free to share and edit to your liking ;)

Well, my copy arrived in not too long ago. I was pretty quick to pop it into my PS3 to take a spin. This was awesome and yet annoying because everyone on my friend list was asking me how I got the game early! I guess the trophy descriptions being in English really doesn't help matters. (PSN's Neophoton, for those who are curious about interacting while I'm playing the game during EST on evenings.)

This is an impression based on 3 - 4 hours into the game. It's going to be slightly spoilerific, but only covers content that was slapped into the trailers.

(I try to keep things as spoiler-free as possible, but if you've been eying every trailer since the game's announcement roughly four years ago, then hardly any of it is spoiler-worthy. However, you've been warned.)

The game's definitely worth the price tag in USD compared to most RPGs this generation, though, I give FFXIII that much credit to it. If you like the majority of FF games (X in particular), then I doubt you'll have FFXIII.

Stripped-Down Final Fantasy XIII Is More Movie Than Game

My save file says I’m 17 hours in and just starting Chapter 8 of (apparently) 13, and if I’m about halfway through, that means we’re looking at a 30- to 40-hour game, consistent with previous games in the series. The fact that the game is neatly divided into two-hour chapters should strike Final Fantasy fans as odd. It is. XIII isn’t a big, open, explorable world. It’s a series of discrete maps that you run through and forget about entirely, once you’re the hell out of there.

There are (so far) six playable characters, and the game swaps them in and out with reckless abandon. One moment you’re adventuring with Lightning and Sazh from the demo, the next you’re following the adventures of Vanilla and Hope. The game keeps coming up with more-and-more-contrived rationales (plane crash!) to split your party into different groups.

You can have up to three characters in your party, but only when the game says so. And here’s the real kicker: You only control one of them during battle, and you don’t even get to pick who that is. At least for the first 17 hours, you only control whoever the game tells you to, and the computer picks up the slack on the rest.

I swear I have read elsewhere that the game becomes less linear and opens up in the second half, and I really hope that is true.

For the first time our Glee ships (sans Will and Emma since the cut off point is for under 30's) are competing and after a day they're doing pretty well. Puck and Rachel are in second, Rachel and Finn are in fifth and Artie and Tina in eight but it's still early days. Vote for your favorite here

Well I know some of you have heard of MikuMikuDance(or MMD for short). Well recently I have made some Soul Eater characters (except for Kid, someone else made it) with PMD Editor since their was nothing to do today.
